Make the best of the opportunity

“As is a tale, so is life: not how long it is, but how good it is, is what matters.”

Every day you have the opportunity to make it the best it can be. Do you take advantage of this opportunity? Are you greeting each day looking forward to all the goodness that it will present?

Or, do you wake up and think of the dread that awaits you? Do you cringe at the thought of going to work? If so, what a sad situation that is. Be grateful that you have a job – there are a lot of people who don’t have your opportunity. Look for the good and it will appear. Think of the bad and it too will appear.

Zig Ziglar calls the alarm clock the “opportunity clock” – it woke him up everyday for all the opportunity that awaited him that day!

How good will your day be today?

Be Well.

Be proactive and volunteer your time and services

“He who gives when he is asked has waited too long.”

– Seneca

Don’t wait to give of yourself. Be proactive and volunteer your time and services, go and help someone who is stuck, try not to wait until you are asked to do something before doing it.

This will be a win-win situation for you as well as the recipient. The person for whom you are giving or doing will feel better that you are doing so without him/her needing to ask. You will feel simply better for doing it.

A nice easy example is a little boy who cleans his room without his mom asking him. He gets to beĀ  proud for cleaning without being asked, and the Mom is proud that she did not need to prod her son into doing his chores.
The same hold true for adults. Step up and give before you are asked. See what happens.

Be Well.
